Aurora Fashion Show: design and development

Aurora Fashion Show| Fall 2016 to Spring 2017

  • Analyzed current and future trend information to create a plus size line for the Aurora Fashion Show
  • Identified 5 categories and brainstormed 7-10 designs per category in Adobe Illustrator 

  • Developed 5 designs, one from each category, through trend and brand analysis, flat patterning, and prototyping as a starting point for the line

  • Finalized the line and began development and fitting of three looks, a jacket, bralette, tank, and leggings, a maxi dress and bralette, and a bodysuit and skirt

  • Created and graded bodysuit from a size 16 to a size 22 using Optitex

Design Brief and Line Plan

Boohoo Night+ | Fall 2016

  • Created a line plan report including company research, target market research, design brief, and trend forecasting of general theme, color, material, and style
  • Built concept boards using Illustrator, and Photoshop for each trend forecasting category
  • Identified, using this data, thirteen forecasted style designs and developed three original designs, presented in Illustraor color and pattern filled flats, for the final line plan 

Service Redesign

OSU Beaver Store | Spring 2016

  • Redesigned the OSU Beaver Store shopping experience with a team of five as a three-month project
  • Researched service design challenges through customer interviews, and personal and group walkthroughs with reflections
  • Focused on improving the satisfaction of the customer by creating higher awareness of the "back to beavs" program, moved sales sections from near the cash registers to the men's and women's departments and added more signage for easier navigation 

Nike Swim: before, during, and after

Jantzen Swimwear | Spring 2016

  • collaborated with two other designers to create a concept to creation before, during, and after competition line for Nike Swim consumer as a three-month project
  • Using OSU swim athlete's inputs and suggestions, along with current trend analysis and consumer research, we designed three looks and prototyped four items
  • Increased flexibility while updating designs to newly introduced needs late in the project
  • Proposed the line at Jantzen headquarters in June 2016
  • Understanding of our customer and creating a strong and descriptive store with print resulted in positive feedback from Jantzen

Nike Swim: pattern development

Jantzen Swimwear | Spring 2016

  • Researched Nike Swim customer and trend data to develop two multifunctional patterns through Illustrator pattern tools
  • Prototyped pattern prints, received from Spoonflower company 
  • Developed patterns were used to further tie together the story of the Nike Swim line

  • Redesigned the OSU Valley Library study room reservation experience with a team of five
  • Providing currently attainable design concepts and ease of use future designs resulted in positive feedback from OSU Valley Library Staff
